Students research expressions and phrases from stories that have their origins in Ireland or from Irish-Americans. They compile these phrases into small books and illustrate them with clipart.

Students review the menu bar and define terms of some of the icons the key words and how to add clipart to their paper. They type in their written paragraph using the word processor and add at least one clipart to their written project.

Students orally review previously learned vocabulary associated with a farm, for example, une ferme, les animaux. Students point to and move animals on a farm scene as guided. Students form phrases incorporating the animals and stating that each one lives at the farm. Students create a postcard with Clipart images of aniaml of their choice.

Students are shown how to create their own database using different field types. They are taugt how to design their own layout-chaning font or size and color of text, adding background color and clipart. Students interrogate their databases and make comparisons testing hypotheses. They devise questions on their databases.
