Students work with the systems of the body through research. They spend time gathering information on their selected body systems from various available resources including the Internet. They discuss five important facts about the body system.

Students study that the human body is made up of different systems whose functions are related. They draw and label their traced body outlines which include at least five body systems.

Students research the numerous human body systems.

Students create a database of body systems and use a saved search to find systems that have activities in common. They investigate each of the body systems. Students are each given a chart showing the activities of each body system. They compare the body systems to other systems in the universe.

Students work in small groups to research assigned body systems. The groups create a Power Point presentation about their body system and present it to the rest of the class.
