Students demonstrate their ability to serve a volleyball trainer over a net using proper skills. They take a paper and pencil assessment.

Students identify what a volleyball looks like and how it is used appropriately. They are introduced to eye-hand coordination exercises by using balloons and gradually working up to using a volleyball. Next, students study the appropriate way to receive and return a volleyball. They identify the proper equipment needed to play the game, the proper height of the volleyball net, and the rules and regulations of the game.
