Students write a one page book report based on the title of story hence the name "Psychic Book Report". After reading the books they were given, they write a traditional report which be published online.

Students read books, then write descriptive summaries of the books they read on grocery bags. The grocery bags are then used at the store to bag groceries, promoting reading in their community through their book reports.

Students examine a book's components, including key events, characters, and vocabulary and develop "chain book reports" with their peers. Strips of paper containing the book's important events are staples together and hung.

Students share book reports in their classroom and via e-mail with other students at another school. They print out the reports received via e-mail. They determine books they would be interested in by reading the collection of book reports for literature at their level.
