Learners study conservation and how cities obtain their water.  In this water lesson students view a PowerPoint presentation and draw a picture of the water cycle.

Young scholars with logical/mathematical intelligence keep count of the tempo of each song and of the number of different movements that they can create to go with the folk songs heard.

Students are drawn to those activities that are in line with their individual intelligences. They use classroom computers to find fruits and their names in other languages. Once a fruit is identified, students practice saying the name of the fruit in another language.

For Learners wanting to practice verbal/linguistic intelligence, any Dr. Seuss book is an excellent text for examining rhyming words. They explore words that rhyme with bully, mean, snooty, nasty, tease, harass, hurt.

Students read the book On the Seashore and complete activities such as reading a book, color and cut out animal cards, model rock making, shell graphing, shell patterns, and more. In this seashell lesson plan, students use the sea shells to reinforce math, language, and science skills.

Young scholars determine the style of place cards as well as how to display phots of artwork. They organize and design an art museum for parents and other students to enjoy. Young scholars create place cards to explain the artwork, artist, as well as information regarding the culture of the artist and the time period in which the artwork was created.

Students practice their reading comprehension while investigating vegetables.  In this children's literature lesson, students are read The Tale of Peter Rabbit in class and analyze the concept and themes.  Students complete several activities based on the book including creating a vegetable collage with construction paper.

Third graders match the body part words in Spanish to a picture. They receive a picture of a human with lines coming from its feet, hands, and arms. Students use a word bank, to write the Spanish word that corresponds to the picture. They play BINGO, with 24 English words and the teacher calls out the Spanish words.

Students explore different spellings of the same words within the English language, as well as different words for the same thing with the international pen pal classroom. They become familiar with units of measure and time. Students use a ruler, measure the distance on a world map from your location to the country, province, and town of your international classroom pen pals.

Students write equations if they change the data of the population to find patterns. They look for patterns in the data regarding male to female ratio (using the lowest possible). Students write a short story for the data that changes from the first to the second table and a story problem for the equation.
