Students prepare microclimates for growing lima bean seeds into plants. They care for the seedlings as they observe and document their growth.
Students study seeds and parts of plants. In this plant biology lesson, students study a diagram of a seed and lima bean plant growth. Students discuss the ideal conditions for seeds to grow. Students plant their own lima bean seeds and track the growth.
Students design an artistic and literary collage of contemporary urban life that seeks to interpret, analyze, and evaluate its mettle. They integrate their impressions of urban life with established views, thereby enriching their understanding of their own present and future.
Students examine three perspectives from which to compose a photograph. They plan a shot list and take photos that demonstrate an understanding of the rules of composition.
