Annie and Barry Revolve Around the Sun, Earth, and Moon- Lesson 4

Learners explore space.  In this cross curriculum literacy "Earth, Moon, and Sun" lesson, students develop a story structure graphic organizer and write a folktale after listening to the book How Night Came by Joanna Troughton and the poem "What is the Man in the Moon?" by Amy Goldman Koss.  Learners demonstrate the Earth's rotation with a globe and flashlight, construct models of the sun, earth, and moon, and participate in several other related activities.

Earth's Magnetic Field and Magnetosphere

Students investigate the magnitude of Earth's magnetic field using PASCO. In this physics lesson, students describe the features of the magnetosphere. They explain how atmosphere layers protect the Earth.
