Farm Safety Lesson Plans

Students identify safe behaviors on a farm. In this safety lesson, students watch a video "Ready Rooster Safety on the Farm" and take a field trip to a farm. Students design a farm safety poster.

Fourth graders investigate the technology of farming in Ohio. The effects of technology upon society is considered. The long term effects of using new technology is part of this investigation.

Fourth graders study the role of technology in agriculture. In this agricultural technology instructional activity, 4th graders spend ten to twelve days studying how technology affects agriculture. Students also are made aware of different careers in the agriculture and biotechnology field.
