Students share their opinions on violent computer games. After reading an article, they discover the controversy surrounding online games. As a class, they discuss the suitability of computer games and write their own letters to a developer of an online game that has been labeled controversial.
Young scholars model a game of chance. They predict outcomes and examine how the probability of drawing a certain shape is related to the types of prizes awarded. In addition, they create a game of chance and analyze the results.
Students play a chipmunk game to review information on family and community. In this family and community review lesson, students answer questions to move the chipmunks around the room. The first Chipmunk to make it to the last child is the winner.
