Students research information about Halloween and other cultural festivals of the dead. In this festivals of the dead instructional activity, students use the assigned web site to examine All Hallow's Eve, the Obon, or Los Dias de los Muertos. They compare and contrast the holidays by looking at the festivals, masks, and food.
Students practice their multiplication and division by creating a Witches Brew. In this holiday math instructional activity, students utilize Halloween style ingredients to create a fun edible treat for themselves. Students practice their measuring and multiplication skills by putting specific amounts of ingredients into the recipe.
Students celebrate Halloween through various activities. In this holiday lesson, students participate in several Halloween activities such as playing word association games, drawing Halloween monsters and telling scary stories.
