Students recognize what is needed to care for a class pet. In this class pet lesson plan, students feed, and care for a hamster. Students recognize that the cage needs changing and the hamster needs food and water. Students recognize that hamsters need to be in a warm place.
Pupils read books, learn about the letter h, and eat apples all to learn about hamsters. In this hamsters lesson plan, students also use play dough to make hamsters.
Students examine how to take care of the class pet hamster. They identify the various items needed to take care of a hamster, discuss how to feed their class pet and clean the cage, and take turns feeding the hamster.
