In a pinch, I can find several lesson plans that I can use in my classroom. I have been trying to incorporate relevance and rigor into all of my weekly plans and Lesson Planet has given me tools to do so.

Pupils examine finding the sum of an infinite series as the limit of partial sums. Through hands-on activities, students create their own sequence by finding the area of a square and then cutting it in half-sized pieces. They write out the series of areas to discover a pattern. Assuming the pattern were indefinite, pupils find the sum.
Students analyze geometric series in detail. They determine convergence and sum of geometric series, identify a series that satisfies the alternating series test and utilize a graphing handheld to approximate the sum of a series.
Twelfth graders investigate convergence of an infinite series. In this Calculus lesson, 12th graders apply the integral test to determine convergence of an infinite series.
Twelfth graders examine the Taylor Series. In this calculus lesson, 12th graders explore the representation of a function as an infinite sum of terms calculated form the values of its derivatives at a single point, hence the Taylor Series. Students use a TI-89 to explore the patterns and the command to compute the Taylor series.
Learners investigate sequences and series numerically, graphically, and symbolically. In this sequences and series lesson, students use their Ti-89 to determine if a series is convergent. Learners find the terms in a sequence and series and graph them. Students use summation notation to determine the sum of a sequence.
Students find patterns in a sequence. In this sequences and series lesson, students use their calculator to find the sequence of partial sums. They graph functions and explore convergent series. Students approximate alternating series.
Students explore the Fibonacci sequence. in this Fibonacci Primer lesson, students examine the characteristics of the Fibonacci sequence. They list the properties of the sequence and determine how it connects to Pythagorean Triples. Students answer questions concerning the Fibonacci sequence.
Twelfth graders discover the properties of the Fibonacci sequence and its unexpected relationship with the geometry of the regular pentagon and with the theory of limits.
