Students understand how to handle food safely. In this food safety activity, students what happens when food is exposed to bacteria. Students complete a worksheet matching type of bacteria with the food affected by it.
Fourth graders research the Internet to learn about inventions and their inventors while also learning safety skills while on the web. In this Internet usage lesson, 4th graders complete research on famous inventors and their inventions. Students also learn the safety rules for Internet usage and complete a pledge of conduct for ethical computer use. Students make inventor cards based on their research and play a game with the cards to learn the inventors.
