Learners read and explore the historical evidence that supports the viewpoint that Islamic women have made significant and lasting contributions to Islamic Civilization. They read and analyze secondary and primary sources relevant to the topic. Students work in small groups to answer questions and then present data to the class. They respond to a document-based question related to the topic integrating from both secondary and primary sources.
Students explore the spread of Islam in ancient civilizations. For this Islam lesson, students research and discuss the Muslim beliefs, stereotypes, and history. Students write essays that address the topic and create posters to inform others about Muslim beliefs.
Pupils engage in a lesson that is about how civilization developed around the concept of Islam. They conduct research using different types of resources and identify some of the basic geography of the Arabian Peninsula. Students also provide a presentation of the prophet Mohammed.

Seventh graders explore several well documented artistic and scientific accomplishments that were discovered or perfected during The Golden Age of Islam. They are staff writers of a magazine who create a feature article about a topic vital to modern society
Learners explore ancient cultures. In this ancient religions lesson, students study the civilizations of ancient Mesopotamia they watch "Garden of Eden" and discuss their impressions. Learners then research Sumer and prepare presentations regarding their research findings.
Students view a video regarding Islam and take notes on the video as they watch it. They complete a vocabulary sheet, timeline sheet, and worksheet regarding what they learned about Islam.
