Elementary students study classification systems while high school students develop systems of identification.
Seventh graders examine the geography and political history of West Africa. They role-play as applicants to a company that transports customers to any historic time period. Working in teams, they create promotional products encouraging customers to visit ancient West African civilizations.
Students identify examples of discrimination in our country's past and present. They examine how bias is harmful to the community as a whole. They also describe what changes have been made to protect different groups.
