Students research National monuments. In this paragraph writing lesson, students research and write a descriptive paragraph on a favorite Washington D.C. monument. Students complete a 6 step re-writing process to ensure they write their best product.
Students write descriptive paragraphs. In this paragraph lesson, students discover the parts of a paragraph by using the "hamburger model." They write a paragraph on a central idea and work in pairs to revise and edit.
Students explore expository writing. In this descriptive paragraph writing lesson, students brainstorm prior knowledge about the changing seasons in Ohio. Students explore and describe seasonal items in plastic baggies, view seasonal pictures from clipart, and complete a "changing seasons" graphic organizer.
