Students plan severe weather awareness day where students present their research reports, along with their action plan and any other associated products (models, web pages, etc.) to the rest of the class/school.
Students conduct an experiment to create a special gift. In this special gift lesson, students make a gift for someone using water, Epsom salt, essential oil and food coloring. Students can create a card to go with their present.
Can your class conduct research and create a PowerPoint presentation? They develop computer skills while making a PowerPoint. Small groups make a slide show for a research project, then deliver an oral report.
Students use digital cameras to record proper exercise techniques. In this technology and physical education lesson, students use digital cameras to photograph a partner showing proper exercise techniques. They download the photos, use a photo editor, and insert them into a Power Point presentation. They use a projection device to share their presentation with classmates or the PTO.
These days, multimedia presentations are utilized more and more. Pupils explore what elements are needed to create a good multimedia presentation. They view two PowerPoint presentations about Germany, then evaluate the elements found in each. The PowerPoints and worksheet files needed for the activity are embedded in this thought-provoking plan.
Research characteristics of slavery during the 19th century by reading Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and several informational texts, pictures, story illustrations, and primary source documents. They will write an expository paper describing 19th century slavery and create a PowerPoint presentation or poster board display. Activity pacing guide, rubrics, and all handouts are included. This could easily adapt to older grades.
Third graders examine coins to become familiar with architectural structures. In this past meets present lesson, 3rd graders research and complete worksheets on Guam. Students combine their group research into pieces of the pie poster.
Young scholars write and present a trade report about Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, or Tunisia. They explore information about the economy of North African nations. they describe one way in which the physical features of the country they explored affect the country¿¿¿s economy.
Explore math functions by creating a class presentation in small groups. High schoolers will utilize the Internet to research a specific math activity and use computer software to create a presentation about it. They then share their information and research with the class through their group presentation. Both teacher and other class members will give feedback. While this lesson is not very detailed, the ideas are interesting.
Students give presentations. In this unit culmination lesson, students present their bridge projects to parents. Students test their bridges and are evaluated using a rubric.
