Primatology Lesson Plans

Students examine the different branches of the primate family tree. They create fact cards about various species of non-human primates and then write fictional skits about interactions among the different primates.
Students explore the work of Jane Goodall. In this advocacy lesson, students investigate the life and work of Jane Goodall. Students examine her work as an animal advocate and explore their own personal advocacy styles.
Third graders summarize a piece of nonfiction text. After reviewing the correct way to read for details, 3rd graders independently read a nonfiction article. They write a summary paragraph using the process outlined by the instructor. Article link in included.
