Fifth graders study pronouns. In this grammar instructional activity, 5th graders discuss what a pronoun is and write what they did last night using pronouns.
Sixth graders are able to identify personal pronouns and understand their function. They are able to use personal pronouns correctly as subjects and objects in sentences. Students look at sentences given by the teacher, and they list all the words in the sentences that refer to people or things.
Students make a list of personal pronouns and their purposes. They use pronouns appropriately to enhance their writing and present their pieces of descriptive writings in front of the class. In addition, they utilize a variety of descriptive pronouns.
Students choose better pronouns to use in their writing. In this pronouns in writing lesson, students identify pronouns in their writing, then replace second person pronouns to improve their writing.
