Pronoun Lesson Plans

Fifth graders study pronouns. In this grammar instructional activity, 5th graders discuss what a pronoun is and write what they did last night using pronouns.

Sixth graders are able to identify personal pronouns and understand their function. They are able to use personal pronouns correctly as subjects and objects in sentences. Students look at sentences given by the teacher, and they list all the words in the sentences that refer to people or things.

Students make a list of personal pronouns and their purposes. They use pronouns appropriately to enhance their writing and present their pieces of descriptive writings in front of the class. In addition, they utilize a variety of descriptive pronouns.

Students review the function of a pronoun and the various cases. Students practice placing personal pronouns by writing sentences that follow given directions. They write an essay describing the unique traits of their family members.

Fifth graders review what nouns, pronouns and verbs are though grammar games. In this grammar activity, 5th graders identify proper and common nouns, singular and plural nouns and verb agreement with nouns. Students make an original slide show that explains each of these topics.
