In this math worksheet, learners compare fractions, decimals, and percents. They rewrite the fractions as decimals before telling which number is either the least or greatest in 12 examples. They order three sets from greatest to least, and complete a word problem at the bottom of the page.
Learners answer a variety of questions using "Turning Point Clickers" connected to an interactive whiteboard. Plan is intended to accompany a chapter review of converting decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratio. They respond to questions as presented in a PowerPoint and enter their answers via the clickers. Questions cover statistics, integers and number sense. The PowerPoint is not included with the lesson, nor is a worksheet that is mentioned.
Ordering numbers just got physical! Learners practice putting numbers in sequence, both in fraction and decimal form. To begin, they line up in birthday order and discuss the difference between ascending and descending. They are then given cards with fractions, decimals, or a combination of both, some of which are equivalent. After more practice at their desks, individuals discuss their thinking as they sequenced a set of numbers.
Learners identify and write the decimal and fraction represented in a given model. In this fractions and decimals lesson, students write the numerical equivalent in decimal and fraction form after observing the teacher create a model with various manipulatives. Learners complete a related chart.
In this relating fractions, decimals, and percents worksheet, students recognize the relationships, complete a table with missing fraction, decimal, and/or percent, write fractions in simplest forms, and solve algebraic equations and two word problems. Students solve twenty-three problems.
Small groups work together to brainstorm ways we communicate decimals. They practice using word form, expanded form, and standard form, as well as fractions, money, and percentages. They sort word cards, matching decimals expressed in standard, word, and expanded form. Includes links to interactive games, word cards and charts for sorting, an online self-check quiz, exit tickets, and more.
