In this lesson learners practice sculpting a face inspired by the face of the "Nkisi." In this sculpting lesson, learners use dry clay to sculpt a face using their fingers. In this lesson learners are shown the "Nkisi" and discuss what the purpose might have been for the sculpture.
Students explore sculpture. In this lesson about sculpting, students create a portrait bust. Students choose a classmate to make a bust of and apply all of the necessary elements to their bust. Students will have a better understanding of sculpture and creating a bust.
In this lesson students design and create a clay sculpture using juxtaposition. In this creative art sculpting lesson, students brainstorm things they like and do not like. In this lesson students view "Hello Matisse" by Leslie Holt, a sculpture that illustrates juxtaposition. In this lesson students sketch their own juxtaposition and create a related clay sculpture.

In this literacy/stereotyping lesson, students listen to the book Dragon of Brog, in which mythical characters experience discrimination. This lesson has learners draw and sculpt animals in motion. In this artistic drawing lesson, learners are introduced to art depicting arrested motion, then observe and sketch animals in motion and use the drawing as they create a balanced sculpture.
Students identify different underwater creatures, explain the importance of recycling in the community, plan preliminary sketches on paper, and construct and sculpt with chosen materials to create creature in paper mache.
