Students investigate Greek spelling patterns. For this Greek words lesson, students complete an oral spelling activity with their teacher and then a worksheet to learn about Greek spelling patterns.
Sixth graders complete a worksheet. In this spelling lesson, 6th graders review syllables and spelling patterns. Students explain how to predict endings and they also collect, sort and observe words. Students complete a worksheet.
Third graders complete a worksheet. In this spelling patterns lesson, 3rd graders read the words course, space, across and plants, and discuss how they are alike. Students determine other frequent spelling patterns and complete a worksheet to practice what they've learned.
Students explore spelling patterns. For this spelling lesson, students sequence letter cards to spell words with common spelling patterns for /s/ and /k/. Possible letter combinations and worksheet are provided.
Second graders review the spelling of words with the long O sound. In this phonics lesson, 2nd graders brainstorm words with the long O sound, gain exposure to common long O spelling patterns and sort long O words based upon the spelling of the word.
Fifth graders complete a worksheet. In this spelling lesson plan, 5th graders complete a worksheet in which they identify words that are spelled wrong and other errors such as capitalization and punctuation.

In this spelling pattern lesson, 4th graders participate in the weekly spelling list activity in which they sort words with the given spelling patterns. They complete charts with /or/, /ore/, /oor/ words.
Fifth graders complete work book pages. In this spelling lesson, 5th graders find root words and identify misspelled words in a paragraph.
