Students are able to repeat various movements. They are able to state the definition of tempo. Students are able to distinguish between a slow temps and a fast tempo. They form a circle and play the music detective game.
Young scholars with logical/mathematical intelligence keep count of the tempo of each song and of the number of different movements that they can create to go with the folk songs heard.
Pupils learn tempo, beat, and rhythm through reciting Engine, Engine, Number 9 and listening to the song "Freight Train". They analyze beat patterns and rhythm and copy it through clapping and walking.
