Standards
1: Scriptwriting: Students will scriptwrite through improvising, writing and refining scripts based on personal experience and heritage, imagination, literature and history.
2: Acting: Students will act by developing, communicating, and sustaining characters in improvisations and informal or formal productions.
3: Designing and Producing: Students will design and produce by conceptualizing and realizing artistic interpretations for informal or formal productions.
4: Directing: Students will direct by interpreting dramatic texts and organizing and conducting rehearsals for theatrical projects and productions.
5: Researching: Students will research by utilizing cultural and historical information to support artistic choices.
6: Comparing and Integrating: Students will compare and integrate art forms by analyzing traditional theatre, dance, music, visual arts and new art forms.
7: Analyzing and Constructing Meanings: Students will analyze, critique and construct meanings from informal and formal theatre, film, television and electronic media productions.
8: Understanding Context: Students will understand context of universal concepts by recognizing the role of theatre, film, television and electronic media in the past and the present.
