Standards:
This program will teach students to perform to national construction industry standards. The students will be able to use tools and equipment, be familiar with construction site safety issues and be familiar with career opportunities in the construction industry. The student will be familiar with the following systems: footings and foundations, floor and sill framing, wall and ceiling framing, roof framing and finish, exterior wall and trim, windows and doors, insulation, drywall, interior wall and ceiling, and cabinet installation and built-ins. Leadership and professionalism will be provided through Skills USA-VICA and the Professional Development Program. The students will:
