(1) The student writes for a variety of audiences and purposes. The following expectations apply to the second language learner at his/her level of proficiency in English.
(2) The student relies increasingly on the conventions and mechanics of written English to communicate clearly. The following expectations apply to the second language learner at his/her level of proficiency in English.
