To reinforce shape recognition and identification, little learners create a shape collage. They name each shape as they go, gluing or pasting them onto bright paper. They discuss collage techniques and are encouraged to use their shapes to create thoughtful patterns. Tip: Tissue paper is also a wonderful material to use when cutting shapes. Its translucent when glued which can create a neat overlapping effect.
