This demonstration really does show how much sugar is present in a can of soda. First, Spangler shows how regular soda cans sink to the bottom of a tub of water, while diet soda cans float. Then he compares their weights on a balance scale. The difference is huge, and that difference is the amount of sugar present. It turns out to be 18 packets of sugar in ONE CAN.
