Second graders explore the Egyptian folktale, The Well of Truth. In this folktale lesson, 2nd graders read the tale and discuss the events from the text. Students write a diary entry from the point of view of a character in the text. There is an art activity included in this lesson where students discuss and create Egyptian art. Students use a recipe for Egyptian Cucumber Salad and make the dish for the class. There is also a math activity related to crops.
