In this circumference and arc length worksheet, students determine the circumference, radius, and arc length of circles. They find the area of a shaded region within a circle. Students determine the probability that a randomly chosen point in a figure will lie within a shaded region. This four-page worksheet contains approximately 40 multi-step problems. Each page contains a different topic and may be assigned independently.

Area of Circles and Probability

Students explore the concept of arc length.  In this arc length lesson, students examine a picture of a Ferris wheel in terms of its sector areas and arc lengths.  Students try to find the sector area and arc length of their Ferris wheel in groups.  Students present their results to the class.

Areas of Polygons, Arc Length, and Area Sectors

Math scholars explore the concept of area. In this area lesson, learners find the area of cardboard squares and circles that they have created. They use their cardboard constructions to find midpoint, area of sectors, arc length and other measurable attributes of a circle.
