I have been teaching math and science to elementary gifted students for the past 13 years. Throughout my career, I've discovered that kids learn best by doing, and science provides the perfect avenue for hands on exploration. It can also help spice up other subjects - learning how to find the mean is a lot more fun if it involves averaging data from a rocketry experiment! I hope to pass on to others the knowledge and excitement I've gained from my own explorations and make science accessible for all teachers!
