Wide of Benita Ferrero leaving the news conference\u003cbr/\u003eThe European Union External Relations Commissioner said on Monday that she would be sending a clear message to the Foreign Minister of Myanmar that his government must release all prisoners and that includes democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.\u003cbr/\u003eBenita Ferrero-Waldner comments came as the  trial of Suu Kyi resumed on Monday in Yangon.\u003cbr/\u003eSuu Kyi, is due to testify this week and is widely expected to be found guilty for allegedly harbouring an American who swam across a lake to her residence.\u003cbr/\u003eShe faces up to five years in prison.\u003cbr/\u003eThe trial comes weeks after the European Union announced it was stepping up humanitarian aid to the impoverished country, also known as Burma, and the United States said it was reviewing its policy - including speculation that\u003cbr/\u003eit might soften sanctions the regime says have crippled its economy.\u003cbr/\u003eThe European Union is talking of introducing tougher sanctions in response to the trial.\u003cbr/\u003eFerrero-Waldner, in Bangkok on her way to the ASEAN-EU foreign ministers meeting in Hanoi, on Monday called on China and India to push for democratic change in Myanmar.\u003cbr/\u003e\"They work with the country, and therefore they have the best influence,\" Ferrero-Waldner said while announcing she would probably meet Myanmar's foreign minister.\u003cbr/\u003eSuu Kyi, who has been in detention without trial for more than 13 of the past 19 years, is being tried on charges of violating the terms of her house arrest after the uninvited American, John W.
