And the perfect opportunity for us to do that is because be have the  corresponding inspection when these tanks will be open and we'll take the opportunity  to go in those tanks and replace the old probes.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION:  Jerry Hulm, Boeing\u003cbr/\u003eA design change, one of many solutions being explored by the aeroplane giant, would  be a shift in the company's focus on eliminating all possible ignition sources from fuel  tanks and not just the flammability of the fuel and fuel vapour in the tanks.\u003cbr/\u003eAdditional testimony concerned the process known as \"hot stamping\" used to identify  wire by burning numbers into the rubber insulation around the wire.\u003cbr/\u003eOne witness suggested that this could be potentially hazardous if care is not taken  during the branding identification process.\u003cbr/\u003eHaving ruled out a bomb or a missile, the N-T-S-B is searching for a mechanical  explanation for the explosion.\u003cbr/\u003eBut the testimony on Wednesday demonstrated how far the U-S government remains  from identifying exactly what ignited the fuel vapour inside the tank.\u003cbr/\u003eThe findings of the investigation will not be released until next year.\u003cbr/\u003eBaltimore, Maryland, U-S  -  10 December, 1997\u003cbr/\u003e1.
