On one side, merging art genres, painting, sculpture, photography, textile arts, jewellery designers,\" says Garrigue.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The second principle is about bringing together internationally known artists.\"\u003cbr/\u003eGarrigue's initial idea for this unique style of pop-up gallery started around 20 years ago, when she was a student and part-time gallery owner.\u003cbr/\u003eShe found it was mainly art collectors who went to see her art space, so she decided to try and make art more accessible to everyone.\u003cbr/\u003eThe first big step came seven years ago, when she created the concept Racont'Arts in Southern France. \u003cbr/\u003eFour years ago her family moved to Lyon, as well as this new \"home\" for Racont'Arts.  \u003cbr/\u003eOne artist who's decided to exhibit his art here is set designer, painter and sculptor, Rodrigue Glombard.\u003cbr/\u003eHe's brought to the gallery a series of meticulous daily creations that began back in January 1997.\u003cbr/\u003eGlombard's aim was to work every day for an undetermined period of time.\u003cbr/\u003eThat routine lasted 16 years.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I made the first drawing, then the day after a second one, and another one,\" says Glombard.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Very slowly this practice triggered a sort of chemistry and after 5-6 months I moved into a kind of dependence. It became like a ritual.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe artist says he enjoys the simplistic style of exhibiting here in this apartment turned art space.\u003cbr/\u003e\"There is a kind of simplicity in the way art pieces are presented here,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003e\"There isn't the sacred atmosphere you find in a gallery or in a common cultural environment.\"\u003cbr/\u003eFor the young and emerging artists of Lyon, this gallery space has become a point of reference.\u003cbr/\u003eOn show there's also internationally known artists, including metal sculptor Bernard Autin and contemporary furniture designer Stephane Ducatteau.\u003cbr/\u003e\"This is a place where we meet we exchange, we discover new artists and exchange ideas. It's also a meeting place,\" says Garrigue.\u003cbr/\u003e\"In a shop the atmosphere is different. In an apartment you are welcomed into someone's home, I invite people to discover the artists I have selected.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe gallery is open by appointment all year round, with two or three major exhibitions a year.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to one visitor, viewing art in this unique space is a great experience.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Differently from a classical art gallery, I think this makes everything more human,\" she says.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We have an easier contact with artists.
