Media Spokesman, said that the 'hearts and minds'  battle being waged by British troops in their efforts to secure the city of Basra is continuing to prove successful.\u003cbr/\u003eSome resistance fighters still remain in the southern city, on the Shatt al Arab channel, Iraq's only outlet to the sea.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever British forces were still managing to get useful information on these
