The New York Times online has been growing very nicely. So online has been okay for the publishing sector.\"\u003cbr/\u003e14. Job cuts are expected.\u003cbr/\u003eNewsweek's decision does not come as a surprise.\u003cbr/\u003eBarry Diller, the head of the company that owns Newsweek, announced in July that the publication was examining its future as a weekly print magazine.\u003cbr/\u003eDiller said then that producing a weekly news magazine in print form wasn't easy.\u003cbr/\u003eAtorino said he expects its online stories to be shorter.\u003cbr/\u003e\"You're not going to get a two-page story with the second half on page eight anymore,\" he said. \"So maybe they don't need all the content providers that they used to. They may go a different route.\"\u003cbr/\u003eNewsweek isn't the first to drop its print product.\u003cbr/\u003eUS News \u0026amp;amp; World Report dropped its weekly print edition years ago and now focuses on the Web and special print editions, such as a guide to best graduate schools. \u003cbr/\u003eNewsweek hasn't been doing well for years.\u003cbr/\u003eMounting losses prompted The Washington Post Co. in 2010 to sell Newsweek for one US dollar to stereo equipment magnate Sidney Harman. Harman died the following year.\u003cbr/\u003eBefore he died, he placed Newsweek into a joint venture with IAC/InterActiveCorp's The Daily Beast website in an effort to trim the magazine's losses and
