And there''s actually been quite a bit of research coming out of that. Much of the decrease in prevalence certainly in range is \u003cbr/\u003ecoming among younger people. So there has been research in Manicaland that is showing a huge decrease in young people between the age of 15, but if you are looking at the higher age groups you don''t see such a decrease in prevalence. Various of people walking on streets \u003cbr/\u003eLife expectancy for women in Zimbabwe has reached an all-time low.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to recent figures in the WHO''s annual report, the average woman will not live beyond the age of to thirty five. It''s the lowest lowest life expectancy of women anywhere in the world. \u003cbr/\u003eAnd because of the high cost of health care, many are turning to traditional healers for help.\u003cbr/\u003eThe average person living in Zimbabwe is not expected to reach the age of forty.\u003cbr/\u003eZimbabwe women have an average life expectancy of thirty four years, and men on average do not live past thirty seven, according to the World Health Organisation''s annual report 2006. \u003cbr/\u003eWomen''s life expectancy has fallen by two years in the last twelve months meaning they now have the shortest life span of women anywhere in the world.\u003cbr/\u003eSarah Page, Deputy director of SAFAIDS (Southern Africa AIDS Information Dissemination Service) says women are put under enormous stress from poverty and a lack of jobs.\u003cbr/\u003eWomen are more likely to die from AIDS related diseases than their male counterparts.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever there is hope for the future.... the UNAIDS 2005 report says that the prevalence of new HIV/AIDS infections has decreased in Zimbabwe. \u003cbr/\u003eHIV prevalence among pregnant women in the capital Harare decreased from 35 percent in 1999 to 21 percent in 2004. \u003cbr/\u003eThat decline has been attributed to changes in behaviour change. \u003cbr/\u003ePage says people are more careful during sexual encounters and many are delaying the age when they first have sex.  \u003cbr/\u003eShe says the Zimbabwe ministry of health estimates that 96 % of the population is aware of HIV, they know what causes it and how to prevent it and have greater access to information. \u003cbr/\u003eHowever high medical costs mean many Zimbabweans cannot afford proper health care.\u003cbr/\u003eThis has lead to an increase in the number of young women, who previously relied on Western medicine for their health problems, consulting traditional
