You will be shot.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe Germans set up the Warsaw ghetto in November 1940, cramming hundreds of thousands of Jews in inhuman conditions. \u003cbr/\u003eMost who survived were transported to death camps and the Nazis burned the ghetto in April 1943.\u003cbr/\u003eIn Belgrade, Serbian president Boris Tadic laid a wreath at the monument to the victims of WWII which used to be a part of the concentration camp Staro Sajmiste.\u003cbr/\u003eThe United Nations designated Jan. 27 as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, marking the date of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp. \u003cbr/\u003eBut Israel marks its annual day - officially titled \"Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day\" - in the spring to coincide with the Hebrew date of the war's greatest symbol of
