Bus arriving with Sarah next to it\u003cbr/\u003eA school in Britain is turning to traditional Chinese medicine to help students with their behavioural problems.\u003cbr/\u003eStanchester Community School in Somerset is offering acupuncture to children with anger management and anxiety disorders - and it is turning out to be a big hit.\u003cbr/\u003eSarah Ley, Rory Byrne and Charlotte Lee have all got one thing in common - they find it hard to concentrate at school. \u003cbr/\u003eAll suffer from various behavioural issues - from anger management to anxiety - which in the past has been dealt with by tough discipline and punishment.\u003cbr/\u003eSo it was somewhat of a surprise when part-time English teacher Heather Rabone suggested they consider acupuncture to help deal with their issues.\u003cbr/\u003eRabone, who has been teaching for over twenty years, started practising acupuncture five years ago after her daughter was diagnosed with asthma.\u003cbr/\u003eHaving always had an interest in alternative medicine, Rabone turned to the ancient Chinese practise to relieve her symptoms.\u003cbr/\u003eShe has since spent three months in China attending an acupuncture course and has how opened her own clinic.\u003cbr/\u003eHer goal was to help youths.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English) \u003cbr/\u003e\"I thought I would really like to be able to treat young people  and where are young people? So it seemed just a great idea to be able to treat them in school.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPERCAPTION: Heather Rabone, Teacher/Acupuncturist\u003cbr/\u003eAfter suggesting the idea to head teacher Glynn Otterly, Rabone then spent the next three months getting the green light from the local education authority and the necessary health and safety assessments.\u003cbr/\u003eShe decided to focus on treating students with anger management issues, anxiety and attention deficit disorder, also know as ADHD.\u003cbr/\u003eSo far nine pupils aged between 11 and 16 have signed up for the ten weekly half-hour sessions.\u003cbr/\u003eRory Byrne is one of them.\u003cbr/\u003eByrne, who moved from Scotland two years ago, suffers from anger management problems. They result in him lashing out, hitting people and becoming abusive.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen Rabone suggested he try acupuncture, Rory said he thought he was going to be stabbed with lots of needles.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English) \u003cbr/\u003e\"I''d never heard of it before and I was like ''what is it?''.
