image.\u003cbr/\u003eOfficials from Vatican Television and Google announced the channel on Friday, when the Holy See celebrated the annual \"Social Communications Day\"\u003cbr/\u003eFather Federico Lombardi, Pope Benedict XVI's spokesman says the Pope encouraged the initiative. \u003cbr/\u003e\"We have already a long experience in this field, producing every day video news about the pope and the Vatican and now we are ready to produce a regular channel in four different languages on YouTube,\" \u003cbr/\u003eMonsignor Claudio Maria Celli, who heads the Vatican's social communications office, says Benedict is a man of dialogue who wants to engage with people wherever they were. \u003cbr/\u003eCelli says the Vatican is launching the channel in part to have some control over the pontiff's
