(Sept. 27)\u003cbr/\u003eDemonstrators threw plastic bottles at protesting police officers outside the Greek parliament as lawmakers were voting on a controversial new property tax.\u003cbr/\u003e  Riot police separated the two groups and the demonstration proceeded peacefully on Tuesday evening.\u003cbr/\u003e  The new tax was approved by 154 votes to 143 against in the 300-member Parliament.\u003cbr/\u003e  It aims to boost revenue as the country struggles to meet its fiscal targets and gain approval for a critical instalment of bailout loans that will prevent it from default. \u003cbr/\u003e  But the extra charge has angered Greeks, who have already been through more than a year of austerity that has seen salary and pension cuts and increased taxes across the board. \u003cbr/\u003e  A group of demonstrators carrying, \"I won't pay\" flags also protested outside Parliament.\u003cbr/\u003e  The new property tax was announced earlier this month, after the country''''s international debt inspectors suspended their review of Greek reforms amid talk of missed targets and delayed implementation.\u003cbr/\u003e  The inspectors are expected to return to Athens this week.\u003cbr/\u003e  The new tax will be charged through electricity bills to make it easier for the state to collect, instead of going through the country's unwieldy and inefficient tax system. \u003cbr/\u003e  Those who refuse to pay risk having their power cut off.\u003cbr/\u003e  State electricity company unionists have threatened not to collect the tax, and not to cut off the
