The source of the higher densities was accompanied by higher temperatures that were also up to the neighbourhood of one thousand degrees Kelvin - a very warm upper atmosphere.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Alvin Seiff - Chief atmospheric investigator\u003cbr/\u003eOther surprises included lower than expected amounts of heavy elements such as carbon,oxygen and sulphur.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd it has only half the expected amount of helium and a different cloud structure from what most researchers expected. \u003cbr/\u003eFindings from the probe's data, described as very preliminary, found  the planet to be windier and drier than expected.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The suprising result is that the winds apparently and this is the east west winds blowing from west to east, thats called the prograde direction the winds did not decay with depth they actually increased somewhat with depth  and down throughout the end of the probe mission down the \u003cbr/\u003edepth the winds levelled off at a relatively constant hundred and fifty metres per second.\" \u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Dr. David Atkinson - Wind specialist university of Idaho\u003cbr/\u003eScientists believe the data will provide clues about our own solar system's beginning and new systems being discovered now.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The things that we are now learning about Jupiter will not only be applicable to understanding our own solar system but they will almost certainly be applicable to understanding these new solar systems that we are just now beginning to discover.
