Tilt up on poster. \u003cbr/\u003eIn the world of photography the name Glen Wexler is synonymous with creating the best when it comes to 'improbable realties\". \u003cbr/\u003eThe American is recognised as one of the original pioneers to adopt digital imaging technology as a tool in the creative process.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to experts, his ad campaigns and magazine photos have stood the test of time. \u003cbr/\u003eFor more than 25 years, Glen Wexler's images have straddled the line between art and commerce.\u003cbr/\u003eA risk taker, 51-year-old Wexler's work in photographic circles is considered art - with peers and observers saying this digital genius was using photoshop decades before anyone else. \u003cbr/\u003eHis creations take the viewer deep into make-believe worlds that look real. \u003cbr/\u003eFrom album covers to the biggest advertising campaigns over the past 30-years such as those for Maxell, Geffen Records and Accura, Wexler has earned an international client base. \u003cbr/\u003eOn this day in Los Angeles, Wexler was commissioned to create a poster for Alanna Ubach's one woman off-Broadway show \"Patriotic Bitch\" opening June 3, 2008 in New York. \u003cbr/\u003eAlanna was photographed to match the perspective of the road that would drop seamlessly into the background.  \u003cbr/\u003eHer hand painted body art is the costume, conceived by Wexler, while the backdrop remains blank until Wexler blends the unlikely, first in his head, into his advertising and magazine assignments.\u003cbr/\u003eAt this photo session, every detail is thought of. \u003cbr/\u003eWexler makes sure the mood is right as is every hair in place. \u003cbr/\u003eThe work is adjusted on the spot so the client can see the progress, something not done years ago. \u003cbr/\u003eAt the digital work station magic and creativity can take shape in one session. \u003cbr/\u003eEarlier this year (April 3, 2008) a cocktail party was held in Los Angeles in honour of Wexler's work. \u003cbr/\u003eTim B Wride, Executive Director of The No Strings Foundation ( which provides funding to photographers), and photo historian and former curator of photography at the the Los Angeles County Museum \u003cbr/\u003eof Art (LACMA),  says the worlds of art and commerce have never really merged well, but Wexler is part of a renaissance.\u003cbr/\u003eDebra Weiss, a creative consultant who works with editorial and advertising photographers, says photographers must define themselves as a brand today to make it. \u003cbr/\u003eShe says with the advent of digital photo everyone thinks they're a photographer but for ad campaigns to be successful today, photographers must find a niche. \u003cbr/\u003eMonty Python actor, Eric Idle,  has become a big fan. He wrote the forward for Glen Wexler's book \"The Secret Life of Cows\".\u003cbr/\u003eThe request came via email so he thought he'd write a joke forward, describing Wexler as a seven foot Scotsman standing next to an Icelandic woman. \u003cbr/\u003eWexler then turned those words into a photo. \u003cbr/\u003eIdol loved it and appreciated his great sense of humor. \u003cbr/\u003eAwards and recognitions for Wexler's work come from such prestigious sources as the Los Angeles Times, Communication Arts, Apple Pro Features, French PHOTO, American PHOTO, International Photography Awards and
