Prior to joining Cycas John was Vice President at Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG), responsible for the Staybridge Suites brand in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In 2003 John was hired by IHG to research, plan and then develop Staybridge Suites Hotels for the EMEA region. John was responsible for the adaptation of the brand to meet European expectations and to implement a roll-out of the brand. Further European experience includes tenure with Choice Hotels as Vice President Sales and Marketing, Europe, as well as President and owner of a hotel management company based in the Czech Republic. Before coming to Europe John was Marrriots first Sales and Marketing Vice President for the Residence Inn brand (US extended-stay market leader), responsible for Sales and Marketing of the brand's first 125 hotels.\n
