Various of inmates acting in playSTORYLINEA prison theatre programme in Mexico aims to rehabilitate inmates through acting and provide them with tools to reintegrate into society upon their release.The Mexico City Penitentiary Theatre Company has been operating for six years at the Santa Martha Acatitla prison which has inmates aged between 22 and 60 years.It has over 40 members, including 30 inmates, and five members who have been released after serving long sentences.Those behind the programme said that theatre can be a useful tool for the inmates, since it provides them with alternatives to survive inside jail, a view shared by inmates.The company is currently performing its third play, \"El Mago Dioz,\" an adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.
