I call it gymnastics for the blood vessels so basically it's giving them exercise. What we're then doing is we're applying a two plant extract stem cell to the skin which is freeze dried and it is activated by using purified water.\"The frozen serum, or Cryostic as its named, is painted on and massaged in with the globes, before finally a moisturiser is added which also includes plant extracts.Though just a few years old the UK based company which specialises in freezing face and body solutions is already supplying devices to other countries including America.It's not just the face that gets a vigorous uplift.Other machines concentrate on difficult to reach problem areas like muscles under the upper arms which can slacken even after hours of running.After appearing at beauty industry exhibitions a few years ago the process of fat freezing called cryolipolisis is widely available.But according to Laughrey's sales manager, Stephanie Sandford, the new generation of machines go hot as well as cold.She explains: \"What's going on at the moment is Fran wants to remove some of the fat from underneath her arm, what we commonly know as 'bingo wings'. What the machine is doing at the moment is we're going to be vacuum suctioning the fat and we're going to be heating the fat cells. This will liquify the fat cells and then we're going to freeze the fat cells which is cryolipolisis and crystalise them. After we've crystalised them, we're going to reheat them, we're going to liquify them, which will break them down to a format which the body can process much more quickly than in traditional fat freezing treatments.\"These treatments are aimed at people who want to sculpt and shape their bodies, at those who want to lose an inch around the waist, not overweight patients who are seeking weight loss on their doctors orders.   But she says the toning and firming with these machines is achieved much more quickly.According to Sandford:  \"What we're doing is by liquifying it, by heating it and by freezing it and then heating it again, the fat cell is far more damaged and much easier for the body to process so she's (model) going to get her results in four weeks instead of the normal twelve week period.\"Cryostethics supplies spas and therapists who want less invasive solutions to the age old problem of gravity.A extra chin can now be helped by the same machine which attacks flabby arms and stomachs.Laughrey says: \"With cryolipolisis you actually can't do anything with the chin. You can't freeze the chin. With the LipoContrast machine you can.\" She says part of the reason is that the new machines are becoming more customised to what the spas are demanding for their customers in the high street.Laughrey explains: \"The normal cryolipolisis you can't (treat small areas) because the areas are too small to actually go in the vacuum, whereas with our machine with a small head, you can do much smaller pockets of fat, so it can be for men who want to flatten their chest, knee fat which has never been done before with cryo machines and just small pockets of fat.\"This is the new hand massage.Hands do all the hard work and it often shows, especially as we age.This microneedling machine pierces the skin with tiny needles to kick start the growth of collagen.After the needling serum and cream is used again to reduce blemishes and soften the skin.The demand for hardware like this is growing as people become more interested in beauty devices to tackle the effects of not enough sleep, long work days and too many hours in the bar.Last July the US company Persistance Market Research published a report on the beauty device industry and concluded it would grow nearly twenty per cent between 2014 and 2020.The report \"Global Market Study on Beauty Devices: Asia to Witness Highest Growth by 2020\" claims that the  global beauty devices market is anticipated to grow from an estimated USD 19,389.1 million in 2014 to USD 54,186.9 million in 2020.
