And the reason for doing these kinds of project is really important because especially for children, it's important to still remember what it's like to be children, how to enjoy yourself, how to be creative. As an artist I always try to make sure that I have some engagement with the community because I think the value of art to a person's life is more than something nice to look at. Various of skyline of Amman cityLEADIN:Professional graffiti artists from five different countries have been decorating the concrete walls of Amman.It's part of a festival called Baladak (Your Country) which began five years ago.STORYLINE:Graffiti artists are transforming grey areas of Jordan's capital with their colourful spray paints.It's part of a festival called Baladak (Your Country) and this year the theme is 'Me and You'. The aim is to unify people and send a message against racism and hatred.\"This project was started in order to beautify Amman and give space for graffiti artists to express themselves and express issues they are going through, and also what we are going through in this region,\" says Aya al-Nabulsi, Executive Director for Baladak Festival.Nine professional artists from five countries are taking part in the festival which began five years ago.Abdul-Aziz Hassan is from Saudi Arabia and has taken part before. But he says this year's event is \"very special and better than the last one\".\"The idea of 'Me and You' gives the chance for everyone to express themselves and respect each other and reject the racists,\" he adds.This year the artists are also sharing their experiences with a group of children who have cancer. Canadian graffiti artist Fatima Muhieddin shares her skills with the youngsters:\"The reason for doing these kinds of project is really important because especially for children, it's important to still remember what it's like to be children, how to enjoy yourself, how to be creative,\" she says.The artwork has transformed the city and impressed residents.
