STORYLINE:          ...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eLEADIN:\u003cbr/\u003e              On United Nations Day, officials praise Jordan's efforts in dealing with Syrian refugee crisis, and the Kingdom's implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.\u003cbr/\u003e              STORYLINE:\u003cbr/\u003e              United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Jordan uses a news conference to stress the commitment of the UN in supporting the kingdom.\u003cbr/\u003e              Anders Pedersen says Jordan has responded in an \"absolutely exemplary way to the crisis in the region and particularly to the Syrian crisis\".\u003cbr/\u003e              \"The UN is and will continuously stand behind Jordan in supporting it to provide these services on behalf of the international community,\" he adds.\u003cbr/\u003e              He was joined by colleagues from different departments such as the FAO, UNDP, UN Housing Fund and UNESCO.\u003cbr/\u003e              Together they presented the existing co-operation with Jordan and their progress in achieving the development goals.\u003cbr/\u003e              \"We are celebrating the 72 anniversaries of the United Nations globally, on 24 October. So, I think what is really at the core of this one is just to show that the United Nations in Jordan, we are here to support Jordan and Jordanians in realising and achieving your development goals. And I think what has happened over the last years, is the adoption of the sustainable development goals (SDG). And Jordan is at the absolute forefront on the implementation of the SDGs on the agenda 2030,\" says Pedersen.\u003cbr/\u003e              He says that the UN is all about \"leaving no one behind\". \u003cbr/\u003e              \"It is about really showing that everything that we do, we will always look at the most vulnerable first, the person furthest away that is the most disadvantage and the needs of he or she in development.
