He explains how the nephron is responsible...\nIn this video Paul Andersen gives an overview of the human urinary system. The system consist of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. The kidneys excrete waste from the blood in urine. He explains how the nephron is responsible for filtration, secretion, and reabsorption of material in the blood. He details all of the elements of the nephron including; the renal corpuscle, the proximal convoluted tubule, Loop of Henle, distal convoluted tubule and the collecting duct. Urine is transported from the kidney to the bladder for storage in the ureters. It then enters the environment through the urethra. The urinary system maintains homeostasis through hormonal control.\n
