Office buildings already open are 1 World Trade Center, 4 World Trade Center, and 7 World Trade Center. \u003cbr/\u003e              Wedged between the Santiago Calatrava-designed transportation hub and 4 World Trade Center, which opened in 2013, the new building, designed by British architect Richard Rogers, consists of an 80-story tower straddling a 17-story box-like structure.\u003cbr/\u003e              Zigzagging beams down the sides of the tower look like an embellishment but are actually structural components that will allow for column-free floor plates inside. \u003cbr/\u003e              About 2.5 million square feet of office space are about 40 percent leased. Advertising company GroupM has taken 700,000 square feet and will start moving in July 16, Valverde said. It's a brand new lively Wall Street.\"\u003cbr/\u003e              The building is the first skyscraper in the world to have an annealed glass exterior, with 10,000 glass panels that have been cooled slowly to reduce internal stress, meaning the glass won't break into shards if it is struck.\u003cbr/\u003e              The completion of the $2.7 billion 3 World Trade comes after years of legal fights between developer Larry Silverstein, his insurers, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which owns the land, and the Sept. 11 victims' family members who wanted the entire trade center site to be preserved as a memorial to their loved ones.\u003cbr/\u003e              Silverstein, now 87, thought he had gotten \"the brass ring\" when he signed a 99-year lease on the trade center in July 2001.
